8. How do you handle state and federal tobacco excise tax?
We are only licensed to do business in Florida. As our policies state, customers are responsible for taxes due to their states.
9. Do you sell cigarettes online?
No!
10. Do you sell cuban cigars?
No, that would be illegal. However we do sell cigars that are just as good as cuban cigars!
11. How is Ring size calculated?
Ring size is measured in 64ths of an inch. Thus, a 48 ring cigar will measure 3/4 inch in diameter.
12. What is the proper temperature to store cigars?
Maintaining cigars at 70 degrees will allow for proper aging without risk of mold, or insects.
13. Why is proper humidification important?
Too much humidity can be harmful to the cigar, causing mildew and sometimes rot. So, if humidity goes above 75 degrees, leave the lid open for short periods until humidity levels drop. Too little humidity will dry cigars out, causing them to burn too hot. If this happens, sometimes they can be restored to some degree of freshness with proper humidification.
14. How long can cigars be stored?
Indefinitely. Some cigars have been maintained in perfect condition for 50 or 100 years.
15. What does "machine made" mean?
Machine-made cigars are produced using automated techniques to assemble the filler with the binder and wrapper.
16. What does "hand rolled" mean?
Hand-rolled cigars are assembled using a combination of automated and manual techniques. Automated techniques are used to assemble the filler, and the cigar is hand-rolled to completion.
17. What is a cigar punch?
A cigar punch is a device used to make a small hole in the end of a cigar prior to smoking.
18. What is a cigar bullet?
A cigar bullet, like the name implies, resembles a bullet casing. The open end of the casing is used to cut a small diameter hole in the end of the cigar prior to smoking.
19. How do cigars from different countries taste?
Cigars from Jamaica are considered mild. Cigars from the Dominican Republic are medium in strength, and cigars from Honduras and Nicaragua have a stronger taste.
20. How does size affect cigar taste?
Generally, larger ring size, diameter cigars are more flavorful. Longer cigars smoke cooler.
21. What is the difference between "drug store" cigars, and fine quality cigars?
Drug store" cigars, like cigarettes contain additives such as salt peter to promote even burning. Fine cigars are made with Tobacco only.
22. What is the proper humidity to maintain in a humidor?
Between 65 and 75 percent humidity (70 being optimum)
23. What are the shipping rates?
All orders including Overnight deliveries must be placed before 2 PM PST to process and ship the same day. ALL orders placed after 2 PM on Friday through 2 PM Monday will go out Monday. We only ship Monday - Friday. Saturday, Sunday and holidays are not included in delivery time. Saturday delivery is available for $25.00 if the order is placed on Friday before 2pm.

We provide free ground shipping via USPS on orders over $100.
*Cigar orders of five or more boxes, humidors or other products of substantial weight, may be subject to additional freight charges determined by the weight of the package.
* All cigars not in their original sealed packaging are accompanied by a humidification bag free of charge.
*All Duties and Taxes incurred are the sole responsibility of the Customer. Unless requested by the customer, all orders will be shipped via USPS ground shipping.
24. How long does it take for my item to be shipped?

25. How will my item be shipped?
All shipped products are guaranteed to arrive undamaged. If you receive damaged products please call (305) 599-1153 and we will arrange shipping the replacement. All cigars not in their original sealed packaging are accompanied by a humidification bag free of charge.
26. What if my item is backorder?
In the event of a backorder, we will offer a full refund and cancel the order, or 10% off of the backordered product, excluding sale products or specialty items.
27. What If I am not satisfied with my item?
When you order from Capital Cigars, you receive a 100% Guarantee of Satisfaction. If you are not satisfied with a product you purchase, simply return it for a full refund, credit or replacement.
28. What is your return policy?
Our Returns and Exchanges policy has been developed to protect both our client and ourselves. Please before making your purchase, be certain of your selections. If you need any assistance or additional information one of our trained sales associates will be happy to guide you through your purchase. Cigars: If you are not 100% satisfied with any cigars that you purchase from Capital Cigars after you have tried one (1) you may return them within 30 days for full credit or full refund. If you try more than one (1) cigar and you decide that they are not to your liking and return them, you will receive credit or refund for the amount of cigars returned, minus shipping costs. Returns accepted only with original Cellophane Wrapper intact.
Free Promotional Items: All defective free/promotional items must be returned by customer at customer cost. Replacement will be issued when it is received by Capital Cigars.
29. What is the return procedure?
Please call us at (305) 599-1153 or email us at sales@capitalcigarsonline.com. When returning merchandise, please repack the item carefully and return it INSURED within the prescribed time(s) above. We will pay for return shipping if your package was damaged or it was our error when it reached you. All items may be returned or exchanged within 15 days of delivery if it is in unused, perfect condition, and in original packaging. Items with a manufacturing defect will be replaced by Capital Cigars.
